Pedal Assembly
With Balance Bar
Lightweight aluminum forward mount brake pedal
assemblies are balance bar equipped in floor mount (6:1 ratio) and
swing mount (7:1 ratio) configurations. Weighing in at 1.9 pounds,
these high strength designs are precision manufactured to provide
smooth, reliable operation and precise balance bar adjustments. The
extended travel balance bar and spherical pivot bearing allow
increased adjustability when balancing the front-to-rear bias. Both
pedals have a protective coating and non-slip foot pads, and will
accept our remote balance bar cable adjuster.

Tech Tip - This
is the most misunderstood part of a race car. Every winter guys take
their cars apart to clean and paint for the up coming season
and they reinstall the balance bar incorrectly. Then they find that car
is loose one time and tight the next time. What they have done is
assembled the balance bar with to much slack from side to side
(where the clevis meets the tube) and the bearing is jumping back and
forward causing the car to brake erratically because they have brakes on
the
front one time and rear the next. |
