GN III Calipers
Wilwood’s GN III is the latest version of this time tested caliper
used for stock car applications. Utilizing the large 6.0” long Grand National pad (6.3 cubic
inches), and weighing only 6.2 pounds, this six piston caliper has a
unique bore configuration designed to eliminate pad taper wear
problems by differentiating the clamping force along the brake pad
backing plate. An external stiffening rib, protected bleed screws
and crossover tube, heavy duty pad wear plates, lower overall
profile and dual bridge bolts combine to make this caliper an
industry favorite. The GN III caliper has 6.00” mounting tabs and
uses a 1.38” width rotor. Recirculator tubes are also
available.
