______________________________________________________________ Brake Pads
Performance Friction Brake Pad Materials
All PFC pads are made race-ready with a patented laser burnishing process that minimizes brake bedding. Unlike other manufacturers that add special coatings to prepare pads for burnishing, PFC's laser preheats and thermally conditions the pad surface. This creates a pad that breaks in without the lack of friction commonly associated with new "green" pads. Brake Pad Materials 93 Compound
Developed after the 83 compound. Improvements include: better release characteristic; great improvement for trailing into a corner or modulation at threshold braking; kinder to disc; polishes disc smooth even under severe conditions. Racers claim three times the disc life. Pad life of the 93 compound is slightly better than 83. 93 comes on quicker and has a flatter torque curve - a plus in some applications. But, be careful! Without finesse you can over- slow the car in a hurry. Check out 90 or 83 if you are over-slowing the car. When it comes to ultimate performance with finesse, this pad is second to none. _________________________________________ 90 Compound
90 was developed at the same time as 93 and is very similar with lower torque output. It
also has a higher wear rate under super severe service. Recommended and preferred for
Asphalt Late Model Stocks, Pro Stock and Limited Late Model type race cars.
Allowing three times the pad and rotor life, ultimate torque close to 93. This compound teaches drivers braking finesse and _________________________________________ 83 Compound
If you don’t know about the credentials of this pad material, welcome to racing ! This pad has proven itself as a superb performer in pavement applications. Aggressive and durable in the high temperature range, the 83 compound will help you get to the winner’s circle. Super high torque. Firm pedal feel. Requires finesse. Outstanding wear characteristics under severe conditions. The most popular choice of racers worldwide. A winner with Winston Cup, Busch and Late Models. _________________________________________ 80 Compound
Subtle and a favorite for many applications where pedal modulation is difficult. It is extremely durable when used in severe conditions, while providing excellent rotor life and consistent wet / dry friction. 80 has been used with great success by top teams worldwide. _________________________________________ |
